桜、咲いとる♪

They are coming out!

Pretty cherry blossoms :-)


This is my frist time to see cherry blossoms this year.
I found them when I went jogging this morning.
Just before going down to the jogging course along the river, passing under cherry trees on a enbankment,
I noticed white small fluffy stuff among grayish twigs.

Spring has come! 
The trees will be all covered with beautiful blossoms in a short while.
I should go jogging often so I can enjoy watching them more♪

今年はじめての桜、今朝のジョギングで見つけました。
河川敷のコースに下りるまでに、土手道の桜の木々をくぐっていたとき、
灰色な枝の隙間に、白くてちっちゃいなんだかフワフワしたのを発見。
春だね！
この木たちが桜の花でいっぱいになるのももうすぐ。
毎日でも走りに行って、「愛で」ねば♪

STAIRWAY TO...

Another beautiful day!
They say it's gonna warm today,
but might rain suddenly too here in Hiroshima.

I've been trying to gather more information about colleges/universities when I have time.
Mostly on the websites.
I guess it's much more convenient than years ago thanks to the internet.
Tuition, housing, courses, scholarship, transfar...
I can see anything I want, anytime I want.
It's fun♪
...but also hard to find everything by myself! lol
Because there are many colleges in the US
and reading their websites is already like English practise... because of many new academic words that I don't really use in my daily life... :-)  That's good I guess!

Looking forward to my future... I gotta go to work today too! lol
The end of month, the inventory day, sales report deadline,,, is coming!    .....fun, fun, fun.   ahh....

♪....and she's going down a stairway to .... WORK!

I wish I could play the piano.

I want to... well, maybe I NEED TO do some exercise. lol
Thinking about trying boxercise.
I should go jogging more often.

Of course, I want to study English more and study abroad.
... dreaming of living abroad♪

... too greedy? lol
It doesn't mean I wanna stay single, haha!  but I have plenty of time only for myself right now :-) yeah!

I don't know what the future holds.
No matter what, I just appreciate my life and make the best of it! :-)

久しぶり英会話クラス

I haven't been to classes for a long time.
Because I was too lazy to go out on my day off lately!

I took two classes yeasterday.
One was a short discussion about technology,
for example, internet, artificial intelligence...
We talked what we would be worry about the technology field in the future.
Even in Japanese, it is a tough subject for me!

And another was more like vocabulary class.
We read a article from a latest paper focusing on new words.
Because the article was about Japanese earthquake and we already knew about the story, it was not very difficult to understand what was writen there.
But my vocabulary is... not rich.  There are many words I didn't understand.
Some were... "I can guess but I can't explain exactly" words.  Some others were "I have no idea" words.  lol
To increase my vocabulary, I need to learn, remember and use the words.
I have to keep at it. :-)

そう、ただROCKなの

Good morning rockin' people!  :-)
Bit chilly but beautiful morning here!

Are you familiar with IT, computer, machine stuff?
Me,,, basically NO!  lol
But I do some easy simple things on my computer
like iTunes♪
I like listening to iTunes radio while I'm sitting here.
It has a lot of stations! 
Where I tune in to is
"camorock"
80's meatal, hair, glam, sleaze, Nu-Metal, it says.

Sounds like old school, huh? lol   I like this station :)
I'm listening to songs that I used to listen to back in my junior high days...
Music for me was ROCK from foreign countries.

Rock music is good! :)  It made me interested in English.
I started learning English because I wanted to understand English music.
I was just.... so attracted by rock people!  A teenage rock kid wanted to be like them.  haha!
Now, I'm still practising my English... rock is a good influence on me♪

超... 静かなんです

I'm having 30 minutes of short break now.
There are some places for employees to take a break.
Now I'm in one of then on basement floor.
This smll room has 2 vending machines, some tables and chairs.
We all spend time as we like.
Having snacks, reading books, playing with cellphone, taking a nap...
VERY QUIETLY!! lol
Nobody's talking in this room right now.I'm gonna finish my tea... quietly too.
Gotta be careful not to make noise, lol ... so I won't bother anybody!We all have to talk to customers all day long.
I understand we definitely need a silent break sometimes :-)Alright, time to go!

no excuse, man!

Because I could leave work early on Friday I went to a bookstore on the way back home.
I bought a book about studying in the states.
It tells me "how to do it"

I was not working yesterday so I spent all day to read the book.
What I learned is there are many things to do for studying abroad!
From the beginning like choosing where to go
to the end ... graduating.

I always think "I wanna study abroad!"
As I wrote here before, I took TOEFL and I've been trying to save money.
But I asked myself "do you really try to get ready for the plan?"
...no, I don't think so.
I haven't done anything! I always make excuse like "I'm busy with work"... ahhh.

The book reminds me of what I have to do.
I guess there are many people who get ready to go back to school while working very hard... not only me! :)
Gathering more info is what I need to do at first.
Stick to the plan!  Just stick to it!

It's been cold in my town too.
I hope warm spring will come soon!

How was your day?
My day was... tough.
Many things that I hadn't expected happened at work.
But I know they're just small things if I think of people in Tohoku and Kanto area!
Not a time for me to get down.

I'm sure it's gonna be better tomorrow! :-)

I got home and finished quick dinner.
I've got one more thing to do before going to bed tonight... sewing my jacket!
ahhhh, I don't think I'm very good at it... I don't know how long it'll take me to finish but I have to do it.
The jacket is my work clothes.  I had its seam come apart while I was cleaning around at work...
I gotta get my jacket ready tonight so I can wear it tomorrow.

早く届きますように

I went to a post office for a donation this morning.
Many companies and groups are supporting donation now.
I found about one through the red cross on the internet.
The remittance form was ready at the post office and I saw many people filling in the form for donation there.
It is said in the website of the red cross that we can also donate with our credit cards.
I don't know what I can do for people right now.
Donation and praying is all I can do.
... and I will do what I have to do in my life here appreciating what I have now.
I hope our donation will reach the people and be used to save more lives, as soon as possible!

A PIECE

In the morning on my day off, I've been music hunting for a while.

I just listened to "Forget You" - Cee Lo Green - on TV and it made me feel like getting something...
something uplifting soul music.

I was looking around and hit a female singer Miss Platnum

I didn't.
Well,,, I don't know what kind of music it is.  For me, it's a mixture of soul, funk and gypsy music.
I like it! :)

"Music + English"  This is a big part of my life, connection with the world♪
I know it's just a little tiny one but I like when I feel I'm a piece of this wrold. :)

Pray in Japan, FOR JAPAN

I was at work when the earthquake hit Japan yesterday.
One of our customers was looking for a gift for his wife. While we were talking, he let me see the earthquake news on his cellphone and I knew it.
I couldn't imagine it would be so big because we didn't feel anything here in Hiroshima.
Then I heard more about the quake after work, it was very shocking.
We got in touch with people at headoffice in Tokyo, but not yet with people at Sendai branch.
Just hope they are alright.
Many people like rescue team, doctors, transportation people,,, must have been working very hard
and some are doing their duty worrying about their families and friends at the same time.
I hope people stay safe and more lives will be saved.
As one of Japanese, Pray for Japan.

MISOJI 楽しい☆

I had a very relaxing 2days off.
I did my stuff at home most of the time.

Because I take trains and buses to work, day off is the only chance to drive my car.
This... my humble tiny car is cool ♪ It is a very old car but I love it :)
I went to The Home Depot thing that we call a home center in Japan.
.....listening to my current favorite P!nk, yeah!!!

I'm going back to work today.
I'll work hard again!... looking forward to tonght's "MISOJI-KAI"  haha!
Some other Around-30 managers at work invited me to their dinner.

30... all ladies... managers...   sounds nice, doesn't it?  :)  Another joshi-kai is comming tonight♪

おろし金 from USA☆

A chilly day makes me feel like having something hot for dinner.
I had Tonjiru with a lot of gobo (root vegetable).

Good Tonjiru needs ginger, of course!
I put some cut ginger like I always do,
but it was not enough for today's recipe.
Because I already put a lot of gobo(I love gobo!!!)
gobo flavor was much stronger than ginger! lol

so...
I added some grated ginger in it.
This extra grated ginger worked really good!
Ginger flavor got much stronger and it is very good for hot soup on a chilly day♪

The grater in a picture is very good. I bought this microplane at BED BATH & BEYOND in the US.
It was about $14 and I thought "a little expensive but seems nice♪"
And I knew it would be more expensive if I bought this kind of imported American kitchen tools in Japan. lol

This is good for ginger, cheese, garlic... yuzu for nabe too♪  Very convenient and useful :-)

いつものセリフ＠レンタル屋

My weekend has just started♪

I was wondering waht to do tonight and decided to relax at home
...drinking and watching a movie.

On the way back home, I went to a DVD rental shop snd picked some movies.
One of them is my favorite "No Country for Old Men"

The first time I watched this movie was a year ago.
Then I guess I have watched again... I don't remember when but one day later.
When I walked into the DVD rental shop, I was not sure what I wanted to watch tonight.  I was looking around for a while and this movie crossed my mind.

I picked this "No Country for Old Men" and took it to Check-in...

Well,,, I knew they would ask me a question like "are you sure you're gonna take this?" things.
When I check in movies which I have already watched, they always tell me the same thing
"You have already rented this one." and they ask me if it's OK for me to pick the same one again.
I know they are just doing their duty... being kind and trying to make sure...
But I always feel like this...
"I do know that.  I chose these movies just because I want to watch them again!"  lol

I got movies, music, night snacks and some chuhai♪
Yes, I'm ready!

社員食堂のカレー

Lunch break♪
This is from my work again. lol
Because I didn't bring anything for lunch and didn't want to spend much,
I had lunch at the employee's cafeteria.The cafeteria has some kinds of food and some menu everyday.
...and most of them are less expensive than ordinary restaurant ;-)Today's lunch for me was...
Mini Curry 150yen + Vegetable Croqoette 80yen + Salad 70yen
...300yen lunch♪Good deal, huh? :)
And I know this curry is too big to call Mini !
But it is just half of the regular one.
Mini is enogh for my lunch size.Gotta go back to work :) See you!

ぜひ、私の代わりに。。。

I took a picture of the sky♪
It was unbelievablly clear and so ... blue! No cloud in the sky.
So I stopped a little just before getting to work, watched and took a picture.The weather forecast says it's gonna rain in a few days.
I guess it's gonna be warmer gradually because we have rainy days when the seasons are changing.
I don't wanna complain about rain but,,,
I do prefer sunny days :-)Very beautiful day ...here in Hiroshima.
If you are not out, just staying home all day,
You should get out of your room and enjoy the blue sky!Please do it... instead of me! lol
I have been inside working all day... I wish I could go out!Have a good weekend!

One of my coworkers gave me birthday cake!

...my birthday was about a month ago...
She said she was always thinking about giving cake and waiting for a good time lol

Girls like this kind of ... "just to have fun" thing.

this torte cake had a lot of fresh juicy strawberries on it and was really good!

Sugar Babe

It's around 4pm.
Kind of late for lunch time.
I had many things to do and had to talk to my customers
for a long time.
Finally, I could left work for lunch :-)I need some sugar for my brain！
And this is a good stress releaver now♪Hmm... much better now!

touch screen これ慣れる？

My new phone.
... This is totally different from my last one.

I guess this kind of "Smart Phone" is very popular now, so I got questions.

Q1:
Does everybody operate this very well?

Q2:
How long does it take us to get used to this style?

Well,,, I'm not familiar with machines or technology things at all! lol
And moreover don't really follow the instruction... I don't really read it.

I started having this phone 2 days ago.
I don't know how long it'll take but it seems I need some more days to get along with my phone.
Touching the screen is the most important thing but also the hardest part too.
Every time I touch it, I mess up! lol
My fingers are too big? I don't think so...

I hope I'll soon come to handle this ... smartly! ;-)
